On the 25thy May 2018, GDPR Regulations will apply across the UK. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been designed to enable individuals to take better control of their personal data.

The more expansive definition provides for a wide range of personal identifiers to constitute personal data, reflecting changes in technology and the way we collect information about people. These new rules and regulations have been put in place to support members of the public and companies on how their personal information is stored and used, ensuring this sensitive data is duly protected.

Here at Artic we’ve been reviewing and working towards achieving all GDPR Regulations, how we collect data and what information we could hold about you. This applies to both automated personal data and to manual filing systems where personal data is accessible according to specific criteria.

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost; or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. Artic also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach.
