Artic is delighted to announce the retirement of Vince Mayne, a highly respected and accomplished professional who has dedicated the latter part of his career to Artic. As he embarks on a new chapter, we reflect on his invaluable contributions and the indelible mark he has left on Artic.
Vince joined Artic after an illustrious career that spanned several diverse roles. His extensive knowledge and expertise made him an invaluable asset to our company, and his leadership played a pivotal role in shaping our success. With 16 remarkable years at Artic, Vince’s journey here has been nothing short of exceptional.
Vince’s journey with Artic began with the building up of our service and maintenance department. His vision and determination were instrumental in establishing a strong foundation for the department’s growth. At the time, the focus was primarily on air-conditioning, but under Vince’s guidance, the department expanded its services and capabilities, setting the stage for Artic’s evolution into a comprehensive facilities management provider.
One of Vince’s significant contributions was the establishment and development of our Projects department. This division, born out of the service and maintenance department and driven by Vince’s expertise, thrived under his leadership. By effectively managing new enquiries and leveraging his industry connections, Vince helped Artic secure prestigious projects across various sectors.
Throughout his time with Artic, Vince worked on a wide range of notable projects, leaving a lasting mark on the landscape of our portfolio. His expertise spanned multiple disciplines, including chilled water systems, steam installations, water services, HVAC, electrical systems, and office refurbishments. His problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional results earned him a reputation as a trusted professional in the industry.
Before joining Artic, Vince’s influence extended beyond the UK through international assignments in locations such as Alicante, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, and various new hospital builds. His involvement in projects such as saline plant installations and the conversion of seawater to drinking water demonstrated his adaptability and willingness to take on innovative initiatives.
Over the years, Vince actively pursued professional development and became a member of esteemed industry organisations, including CIBSE, the Institute of Refrigeration, Institute of Plumbing, HVAC, and IGEM. This dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices has been instrumental in Artic’s ability to consistently deliver high-quality services to our clients.
As Vince transitions into a more consultative role within the industry, we are thrilled to announce that he will continue to be associated with Artic as a valued specialist. His vast knowledge and experience will continue to support our organisation, ensuring that we maintain our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Vince’s retirement marks the end of an era, but his legacy at Artic will endure. His direction, devotion, and passion for his work have had a profound effect on our company. We are immensely grateful for his unwavering dedication and the countless contributions he has made to Artic’s success.
On behalf of Artic, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Vince Mayne for his outstanding service, expertise, and positive impact. As he embarks on this new chapter, we wish him a fulfilling retirement filled with joy, new adventures, and cherished time with his loved ones. Thank you, Vince, for the incredible journey we have shared, and we look forward to the continued success and growth of Artic under your guidance as a valued consultant.
