What is a CAFM System?

CAFM is an acronym for computer-aided facility management. At Artic, the CAFM manager worked alongside MRI Evolution to create a bespoke system that was tailored to the exact needs of a variety of clients, providing solutions for increased regulation of tasks and time-saving tools that boosts site productivity.

What Does it Mean for Artic’s Clients?

Artic’s CAFM system now allows clients to access and utilise several tools to make daily operations easier through our MRI Evolution Reach Portal:

• Task Updates in the Palm of Your Hand: With the new software structure, clients can easily raise tasks through an accessible Reach portal and receive automatic updates on their progress without having to lift a finger.

 

• What You Need, When You Need It: All important documents attached to any task are now readily available for clients to access. Paperwork can be downloaded instantly from the moment an engineer uploads it and is retrievable for any future site audits.

 

• Trend Tracking: Currently, there are four dashboards available to clients which can highlight trends over the course of a contract. So far, these dashboards are available to display what times and days call outs are raised, all completed and outstanding PPMs and the amount of call outs per asset. Clients can use this data to analyse trends regarding their equipment and make informed decisions regarding their building assets, for example, if one particular asset has the highest number of call outs, it may be due a replacement.

 

• Crystal Clear Reports: Clients can access a selection of our own crystal reports which can be run at any time. These include PPM Planners and Asset Lists which provide the opportunity for client’s estate management to oversee more details of the contract. The advantage of Artic’s bespoke system means that the CAFM manager is also happy to discuss the creation of custom reports, tailored to any client’s exact needs.

The new personalised system now provides the immediacy clients were looking for as there is no longer the need to directly contact the helpdesk team, saving time and optimising site productivity. Compared to Artic’s old software, MRI Evolution has been built into a product that is less convoluted for all, making it easier and more efficient for clients to get the information they need.

Artic knows there is always room for improvement, so the teams are constantly refining systems and processes, using client feedback as the foundation for improvements.
